Kings Grant Park, located on Lord Byron in the neighborhood of Kings Grant off College Road in Wilmington, is being updated. See the announcement from New Hanover County Parks & Gardens below.
Have you heard the good news? Kings Grant Park is getting a makeover! We took all the feedback from the survey conducted in February, came up with a plan and now we’re making it happen. First, we’re getting a new basketball court. Contractors will start removing the old basketball court the week of July 23rd and then replace it with an all new court. The park is also getting a new picnic shelter. We’re removing the old shelter and replacing it with a new, improved shelter for all your birthday party and community gathering needs. The new shelter will have plenty of seating for 15-20 adults and is going to be built in a better, more visible location next to the new playground! With elements like the Jax Pack, Bongo Steps and Orbit Climber, the new playground (pictured below) will be tons of fun for all the neighborhood kids!
