For Day 12 of her 30 favorite places, Realtor Melanie Cameron of The Cameron Team is at the YWCA Lower Cape Fear swimming pool where she likes to swim at least once a week. The main goal of the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) is to eliminate racism and empower women. The local center offers fitness, health, empowerment, youth, and child care programs. These include summer camps, swim lessons, water aerobics, lifeguard certification classes, a triathlon club, preschool, after school program, grandparent support group, and more.
