Carolina Shores

Carolina Shores, NC, is a small town in Brunswick County near the North Carolina-South Carolina border. In 1998, after a disagreement with the Town of Calabash, several communities incorporated into their own town and named it after the major subdivision in the area. This new town, called Carolina Shores, included the aforementioned subdivision, The Farm at Brunswick, Calabash Lakes, Beacon Townes, The Village at Calabash,  Lighthouse Cove, and Eagle Run.

Home buyers can sometimes get confused when looking for homes in this area of Brunswick County, because Carolina Shores is nestled right in the middle of Calabash. Homes with Calabash addresses will pop up on either side and websites not familiar with the area may mistakenly list businesses in the wrong town.

Carolina Shores does not have a big business district, but it does have a grocery store, library, and the Carolina Shores Golf & Country Club. Plus, it's so close to all that Calabash has to offer, sometimes you can't tell which business is in which town.

Of course, many people move to this area to be near the beach. Sunset Beach is just 6 miles away and Ocean Isle Beach is 12 miles away. Plus, additional entertainment and dining options are also available in North Myrtle Beach, SC (20 minutes) and Wilmington, NC (1 hour).
