Runnymeade is an established community off US-76 and US-74 Business in Whiteville, NC. It's conveniently located near the Columbus Regional Healthcare System Hospital and shopping and dining at the heart of Whiteville. It's also 15 minutes from Lake Waccamaw State Park and 1 hour from Wilmington and the Brunswick County beaches.
Construction of homes in Runnymeade took off in the 1960s and 1970s. In the 1990s it slowed, but there are homes built as late as the 2000s. The most common style of home is Colonial, but there are also Contemporary and Ranch Style homes. They range from 1,400 sq.ft. to 4,600 sq.ft. with 3-5 bedrooms and 2-5 bathrooms. While many of the homes are older, you'll see unique features and wood details that aren't found in most mid-level homes built today.
The neighborhood of Runnymeade is nicely wooded and most of the lots are half an acre or more. There is also no homeowners association (HOA).
