Midnight in Paris: A New Year’s Eve Celebration

This is the perfect New Year’s Eve event for anyone who can’t make it to midnight (like me!). Dine on delicious French cuisine along the enchanting Riverwalk in historic downtown Wilmington. At 6:00 p.m., enjoy a glass of bubbly for a toast when it is midnight in Paris.
New Year’s Eve Gala
Eat a delicious dinner with dessert and drinks and enjoy a live performance of Mamma Mia! by the Opera House Theatre Company. After the show, ring in the new year with a champagne toast, DJ, dancing, and karaoke. For a little bit more, get a VIP ticket to enjoy it all from the Starlight Room, the private 3rd level (must call for these tickets – (910) 632-2285.
New Year’s Eve with Cosmic Groove Lizards

Grab dinner and stay for the show. Enjoy an extra hour of craft beer topped off with a champagne toast.
New Year’s Eve Bash featuring Machine Gun
SeaWitch Café and Tiki Bar
6:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.
Tickets for this event go fast. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and Machine Gun plays from 8:00 p.m. – Midnight. The SeaWitch goes all out with a red carpet, photobooth, special menu, large dance floor, complimentary favors and champagne for the New Year’s toast. You can make a dinner reservation for the night, but you must have a ticket for the show to do so.
New Year’s Eve at Bluewater
Bluewater Waterfront Grill

Bluewater is hosting TWO New Year’s Eve parties. Patrons can choose between a live band, Uptown Easy, on the second floor and DJ Sir Charles on the tented, heated patio. Both parties will have favors and bubbly toasts. Patrons can also come early and enjoy a 3-course meal for $45/person (last seatings enjoy complimentary entry to the parties). You can also celebrate the new year the following day with Bluewater’s New Year’s Day Brunch. The menu will have traditional New Year’s Day items (black eye peas and collards), as well as a Build your own Bloody Mary option.
New Year’s Eve “Any Shade” of Masquerade Party

Enjoy a fun masquerade event on New Year’s Eve at Waterline Brewing Company. Get creative and make a mask (sunglasses also welcome). No mask? They’ll have some onsite. A special menu will be served at 6 p.m. and live music from the popular Striking Copper Trio will start at 9 p.m. A complimentary champagne or beer toast will be provided at midnight. NO cover.
New Year’s Eve Speakeasy Celebration
Two Parties – 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Kick off the New Year with cabaret-style entertainment (live music, comedy, vaudeville, and burlesque), a multi-course tasting meal, party favors, and a champagne toast. Celebrate at the early time or make it a traditional night out with the late event. Reservations are required.

Not into the party scene? Celebrate the New Year with a whole lotta laughs. Dead Crow Comedy presents Rosebud Baker, a New York-based comedian, actress, and writer who was recently selected to be a New Face at the prestigious Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival 2018. She was the winner of the New York Comedy Competition at New York Comedy Club in 2016 and was a finalist in New York’s She-Devil Comedy Festival.

Hang out at Dig & Dive on New Year’s Eve and enjoy a buffet and champagne toast at midnight. Tunes will be cranked out by DJ SBz starting at 9:30 p.m.
Voodoo Visionary – “Songs in the key of Purple”
8:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
Take in the improvisational funk music of Voodoo Visionary as they present “Songs in the Key of Purple – A Tribute to Prince & Stevie Wonder.” Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and the show starts at 10:00 a.m.
Reggae Rockin’ NYE Party with Jahson and the Natty Vibez
Lazy Pirate Island Sports Bar and Grill

This event features a Jamaican dinner and tropical cocktails, an in-house countdown with the Times Square Ball Drop on live TV, complimentary party favors and champagne toast, and live music all night long. Tickets are available for purchase at the Lazy Pirate.

Paperwork will be providing the music at Hell’s Kitchen’s New Year’s Eve Bash. There will be a money balloon drop, champagne toast, party favors, and food and drink specials.

Let the kiddos enjoy their own special New Year’s event before their parents take to the town. This event features crafts, singing, dancing, and an age-appropriate confetti toss and juice toast at noon in the courtyard.
Island of Lights New Year’s Eve Celebration
Kure Beach Boardwalk
Enjoy watching the giant beach ball drop at the Island of Lights New Year’s Eve Celebration. This year it’s in Kure Beach (it alternates between Kure Beach and Carolina Beach). Listen to music provide by a local DJ and enjoy the fireworks after the ball drop. This is a family-friendly event.
