You don’t need to be part of an HOA or formal group to take part, and it links up homeowners with others within a certain radius so users can see what’s going on in nearby communities. Just download the app (available on Apple and Android devices) or go to Nextdoor.com and sign up. For pet lovers out there, it’s often used to report found and lost animals, so it may be handy to keep in your back pocket, even if you don’t use it very often.
