Shorebreak is a condo complex located in the heart of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Built in the 1970s, some of Wrightsville Beach's most prominent institutions surround it. It's located steps from Roberts Grocery (est. 1919), Trolley Stop (a local favorite), and the Atlantic Ocean. Though it was built in the 70s, Shorebreak certainly hasn't remained there. The exterior of the complex retains the retro feel from its founding, but many of the units have been updated. Most have newer appliances, flooring, and carpeting, and even some have been completely renovated with granite countertops, hardwoods, and stainless appliances. The layout of the units can vary slightly. Most are simple studio apartments between three to five hundred square feet, but there are some two bedroom, one bath that are around seven hundred square feet and also include a screened porch.
There is onsite parking (a luxury at Wrightsville Beach) and a community deck for grilling. Residents frequently mingle out here with one another. It's a small community, so everybody is familiar and friendly with one another. Obviously, Shorebreak's biggest asset is its proximity to the ocean, which is at the end of the street! Residents are a hop, skip, and a jump away from the water.
At the other end of the street, residents find North Lumina Avenue, which contains all of Wrightsville Beach's most popular shops, restaurants, and entertainment. If residents continue over the next two bridges, they'll arrive in Wilmington, which is a popular area in its own right. Wilmington hosts an abundance of locally owned shops and businesses, as well as some chains that can't be found in Wrightsville Beach. Additionally, downtown Wilmington is one of the most popular destinations in North Carolina, featuring a rich history and lots of local flavor.
