Some great low-cost features are also nearby. James E.L. Wade Park (17 acres) is within walking distance of the community and features a shelter, shaded playground, and ½ mile nature trail over a creekside boardwalk. It’s great for seeing wildlife and enjoying Wilmington’s moderate climate. The community is also a short drive from the New Hanover County Public Library and Halyburton Park, which offers nature programs and fitness classes, in addition to its normal outdoor features.
Construction on homes in Woodberry Forest began in the mid-1980s, peaked in the 1990s, and tapered off with a few builds happening in the early-2000s. The homes range from 1,700 sq.ft. to 4,814 sq.ft. with 3-6 bedrooms and 2-5 baths. The community has a wide variety of styles, including Traditional, Colonial, and Low Country.
