Tangle Oaks is a water access community located off Myrtle Grove Road in Wilmington, NC. This unique community has a marina, boat slips, fenced boat storage, swimming pool, playground, and tennis courts. It offers a mix of single-family homes and townhomes, most of them located right off Marina Club Drive.
The single-family homes in Tangle Oaks were built in the 1980s and 1990s, and sit at the front of the community on lots measuring 1/3 to 1/4 an acre. The homes range from 2,000 to 4,100 square-feet with 3-5 bedrooms, 3-5 bathrooms, and 1-2 car garages. They're are all custom homes, so there's a variety of styles, but they all have similar features - vaulted ceilings, spacious living areas, large master suites with plentiful storage, and layouts that lend well to entertaining. Large sunrooms, screened porches, and decks allow owners to fully enjoy the beauty of the neighborhood, which is filled with lush trees and foliage.
The townhomes in Tangle Oaks are built around the community's amenities, including the marina. There are 11 townhome buildings, all built in the 1980s, with units ranging from 1,500 to 2,200 square-feet. They have 3-4 bedrooms, 3-4 baths, and 1-car garages. The townhomes off Villa Court are slightly different than those built around the marina. They are 2-stories tall with the garage attached to the unit via a covered walkway. The first floor has a covered deck and the second has a screened porch. While these units are not located near the ICWW, they do have pretty views of the community pond and are a short walk from the swimming pool.
The townhomes built around the marina are 3-stories tall with the garage located on the ground floor. On each level is a deck or balcony, each affording gorgeous views of the marina and/or Intracoastal Waterway. The views can also be enjoyed from inside, as the open floor plan and large sliding glass doors allow occupants to take them in from multiple areas of the home. Because the units are located right beside the marina, this is a great opportunity to live literally steps from your boat.
Tangle Oaks is just 5 minutes from the shopping and dining at Monkey Junction, so daily necessities are easy to obtain.
