Providence

Providence is a custom home community off Middle Sound Loop Road in Wilmington, NC. This unique community features two lakes and land bordering Howe Creek affording multiple lots waterfront and water views. It's also a very wooded community with tree-lined streets and mature landscaping.

Construction of homes in Providence began in 1988 and continued into the early 2000s. Homes range from 1,700 sq.ft. to 4,300 sq.ft. with 3-5 bedrooms, 2-5 bathrooms, and 2-car garages. Lots range from a little under half an acre to one acre, and some have private piers and docks.

Home styles come in a wide variety and include Colonial, Cape Cod, and Southern. Interiors vary due to the nature of custom homes. Layouts include traditional, transitional, and open concept. Features often include built-in shelving, fireplaces, extensive molding, plantation shutters, wood flooring, granite and quartz countertops, home offices, formal dining rooms, bonus rooms, and large master suites with walk-in closets and separate tubs and showers.

Many of the homes have outdoor living spaces, including covered porches, screened porches, and decks. Back yards have a tendency to be very private here, so creating an outdoor oasis is easy. You may even find a home with an outdoor kitchen or brick fireplace.
