Middle Sound Village

Middle Sound Village is a front porch style community located off Middle Sound Loop Road in Wilmington, North Carolina. Developed by Mungo Homes, this is a low-impact development designed to preserve the natural environment. It features a dog park, fire pit, playground, and community vegetable garden. It also has sidewalks and street lighting, and common area maintenance is handled by the homeowners' association.

In total, there will be 45 homes in Middle Sound Village. Home plans include 1-story and 2-story options with 2-car to 3-car garages. There are multiple elevations available, including homes with double front porches, two-tone exteriors, and stone accents. They span 1,700 sq.ft. to 4,500 sq.ft. with 3-6 bedrooms and 2-5 bathrooms, and include open-concept and split-bedroom layouts. Each floor plan has multiple options to choose from so buyers can design a home that will meet the needs of their lifestyle.

Depending on the floor plan chosen, buyers may be able to insert a formal dining room, office, family room, sunroom, loft, bonus room, extra bedroom, 2nd master suite, etc. Standard features include tall Colonial baseboards, crown molding, 9ft ceilings, a music port with 2 speakers, brushed nickel hardware, and a trey or vaulted ceiling in the large master suite. Plus, each home is optimized for energy efficiency through the selection of building materials and included systems.

Phase 1 of the community includes the Vanguard Series of homes. Similar homes have been built in Marsh Oaks and Willow Glen. Phase 2 is starting and will have homes from the Renaissance Series, which are Charleston Style homes. Mungo Homes has not yet built this style of home in New Hanover County, but have constructed them in Charleston, Columbia, and Raleigh. They have pretty road-facing fronts with alley-access rear-load garages, some attached and some detached. These floor plans range between 1,800 and 2,800 sq.ft. Middle Sound Village is just 2 minutes from Publix at Ogden Market Place and 7 minutes from the Porters Neck area, so residents are never far from daily necessities. It's also just 9 minutes from additional shopping and dining, and the cinema at Mayfaire Town Center. For some fun in the sun, Wrightsville Beach is less than 15 minutes away.
