Meadowbrook is an established community located off Gordon Road in the Ogden area of Wilmington, NC. White Road runs through the middle of the neighborhood with looping streets branching off northwest and southeast. It’s minutes from Ogden Park, Smith Creek Park, and area schools. It’s also a convenient drive to Mayfaire Town Center, The Forum, Landfall Shopping Center, and Wrightsville Beach.
Homes in Meadowbrook have open floor plans that usually include a front porch, rear patio (sometimes a screened porch), vaulted ceiling and fireplace in the main living area, dining room, breakfast nook, and master suite with a walk-in closet. They range from 950 sq.ft. to 1,900 sq.ft. with 2-5 bedrooms (most are 3) and 2-3 bathrooms. Generally, homes here are one-story, with or without a 1-car garage, but a rare few have a second floor (partial or full).
Construction of this neighborhood was completed in the 1990s, but some of the homes have been beautifully updated since then. So, buyers may see the original finishes (tile in the kitchen, laminate countertops, etc.) but also come across newer upgrades (quartz, luxury vinyl plank flooring, wood laminate flooring, etc.). These homes remain largely affordable and popular among first-time buyers and investors.
While the community itself does not have any amenities, Meadowbrook does have a homeowner’s association that handles common area upkeep, including the retention ponds and sidewalks that run throughout.
