The Landing at Lewis Creek

The Landing at Lewis Creek is an established community on Gordon Road in Wilmington, NC. It has 190 single-family homes and 40 townhomes built by McAdams Homes, a developer with experience building a variety of projects in Coastal SE North Carolina, including residential properties and apartments.

Single-family homes in The Landing at Lewis Creek are two-story and range from 1,873 sq.ft. to 2,381 sq.ft. Depending on the floor plan, a home may have 3-5 bedrooms, 2.5-3.5 bathrooms, and a front-load garage. All of the floor plans are open concept with most featuring a great room that may or may not have a fireplace. Some of the homes have a chef's kitchen that sits open to the dining room and living areas, others have the option for a formal dining room. Other optional features include a home office, loft area, morning room, bonus room, and screened porch. At the time of building, all homes came standard with 9' ceilings; wood laminate flooring downstairs; stain-resistant carpet in the bedrooms, stairway, and second floor; vinyl flooring in the laundry room and bathrooms; brushed nickel hardware and Moen plumbing fixtures; granite counters, 42" cabinets, a garbage disposal, and stainless-steel appliances in the kitchen, and a landscape package that includes irrigation and sod.

The homeowners association (HOA) for the single-family homes includes common area landscaping, road maintenance, property taxes for the common areas, management fees, and street lighting,  The amenities for the community include sidewalks, green space, and a 5 ft. natural mulch trail. Lewis Creek is not located within city limits, so only county taxes are required.

The Landing at Lewis Creek also has two-story townhomes ranging from 1,591 sq.ft. to 1,841 sq.ft. They are built in clusters of 4 with the larger floor plan on the outside lots. All of the layouts are open concept with 3-4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and great rooms with fireplaces. One of the floor plans has a 1st-floor master suite and large walk-in closet. The other has a 2nd-floor master. Both designs have a front porch, convenient 2nd-floor laundry room, and an optional bathroom upgrade. Other features include 9' ceilings; wood laminate flooring downstairs; stain-resistant carpet in bedrooms, stairway, and second floor; vinyl flooring in laundry and bathrooms; brushed nickel hardware and Moen plumbing fixtures; and granite counters, 42" cabinets, a garbage disposal, and stainless-steel appliances in the kitchen.

The HOA dues for the townhomes include exterior maintenance, landscaping, and insurance.

There is possible future development for 17 more lots in this community, but, as of August 2021, nothing has been finalized.
