Deer Crossing

Deer Crossing is an “Eco Community” located just off Myrtle Grove Road in Wilmington, North Carolina. Designed to integrate with its natural surroundings, lush trees and native plants are found throughout the community. Over 20 acres have been preserved. Its amenities include a dog park, bird sanctuary, wildlife nature trail, butterfly garden, and children's adventure play area.

The homes built here include features that are energy efficient and cost effective, including 14 SEER heat pumps (higher efficiency for more cost savings), 50 gallon hot water heaters, R-38 insulation in ceilings (thick insulation great for thermal and acoustic performance), R-13 insulation in walls (reflects over 99% of heat), and Radiant barrier roof sheathing (blocks radiant heat from entering attic to reduce air conditioning costs). Home plans start in the $100s. They range from 1,400 to 3,400 square-feet, 1 to 2 stories, 1 to 2 car garages, 3 to 4 bedrooms, and 2 to 3.5 baths.  Furthermore, future homes can be upgraded if buyers would rather have custom fixtures, cabinets, hardwood floors, etc. Wilmington features some terrific schools. School districting is determined by New Hanover County School Board of Education. Currently, Deer Crossing is districted to Bellamy Elementary, Murray Middle, and Ashley High School. However, districting does change from time to time, so we encourage our clients to double-check before buying.
