Colonial Village

Colonial Village is an established residential community off Independence Boulevard in the Midtown area of Wilmington, NC. It's very close to Empie Park, which has the Althea Gibson Tennis Complex, the largest tennis facility east of I-95 in North Carolina. At Empie Park, residents can get on the Gary Shell Cross-City Trail (walking and biking), which stretches from Wade Park to Wrightsville Beach. Residents of the community can also easily access the businesses on Market Street and Oleander Drive, as well as those at Independence Mall; so, there are a variety of shopping and dining options available.

Many of the homes in Colonial Village were built during the 1940s and still maintain some of the charming details of that era, like thick molding around the doors, hardwood flooring, brick fireplace surrounds, and traditional floor plans. The properties are anywhere from 1/5 to 1/2 an acre and surrounded by beautiful mature trees. The homes span from 793 sq.ft. to over 1,700 sq.ft. with 2-3 bedrooms and 1-2 baths. Most of the homes are 1-story, but there are a few who converted the attic into a second floor living space.
