Anchors Bend

Anchors Bend is a beautiful community on Middle Sound Loop Road in Wilmington, NC. Many residents rent boat slips at Anchors Bend Marina, which is across the street, and enjoy the convenience of being just 1 mile by boat from Wrightsville Beach. Sidewalk-lined streets, landscaped medians, and roundabouts help to make the community pedestrian friendly. There’s also a community swimming pool, open air pavilion, and clubhouse.

The community of Anchors Bend has a few distinct areas. The first is called The Manors and is located along Middle Sound Loop Road, Eventide Boulevard, Songbird Court, Baldwin Park Drive, Northbend Road, and part of Anchors Bend Way. These homes are Craftsman Style and span from 3,000 sq.ft. to over 5,000 sq.ft.

The second area is called The Cottages. It stretches down Anchors Bend Way and all the homes have alley-entry garages, so the fronts of each property remain picture-perfect. They range from 2,400 sq.ft. to 2,800 sq.ft. and have darling front porches overlooking a sidewalk. The lots tend to be a little smaller than those in The Manors but are a great option for anyone not wanting a lot of yard upkeep.

These first two areas make up the original community and features you may find here include landscaping, hardwood flooring, fireplaces, decorative white trim, gourmet kitchens with granite and gas cooktops, subway tile, bead board, wainscoting, coffered ceilings, trey ceilings, screened porches, bonus rooms, and spa-like master suites.

The third area is called South Haven at Anchors Bend. It is a 15 single-family lot section located adjacent to the main division of Anchors Bend but has access to all of the great amenities the main section has. Robuck Homes built these homes, which include ranches and their award-winning Modern Farm House. They range from 2,200 to 3,400 square-feet with 3-4 bedrooms, 2-3.5 baths, and 2-car garages.

As of July 2022, the fourth area is in development and predicted to be available for sales in a few short weeks. This area is located at the very end of Anchors Bend Way at the back of the community and will have 24 townhomes built by McKee Homes.

There will be two floor plans:

1. Montague - 2,222 sq.ft. with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a 2-car garage.

2. Tilley - 1,917 sq.ft. with 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a 1-car garage.

Anchors Bend is in a very convenient location. Mayfaire Town Center and Regal Cinemas are just 15 minutes away, and Wrightsville Beach is 20 minutes by car, or residents can head 15 minutes north on Market Street to the growing Porters Neck area. There are also 4 golf courses within 20 minutes of the community.
