Rocky Point is a rural area with only about 600 homes between Castle Hayne and Burgaw in Pender County. It's probably best known for Paul's Place Famous Hot Dogs (U.S. 117 South), which has been a landmark since the late 1920s and remains a favorite with locals. At the center of Rocky Point are a small number of businesses, a high school, and an elementary school (the middle school is in another area), but buyers don't often choose Rocky Point to be at the center of the hustle and bustle. This area is most popular among buyers looking for country life and a lower cost of living while still being 25-30 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean.
