Hampstead
Hampstead, NC, is located midway between the historic port city of Wilmington and Jacksonville, home to the largest Marine Corps base on the eastern seaboard. One side of Hampstead borders the Intracoastal Waterway where there's plenty of boating and fishing. On the opposite side is the Holly Shelter Game Land, 75,000 acres of public woodlands and wetlands that affords hunting, hiking, camping, and A/V use at select times throughout the year. It's also a short drive to the beaches on Topsail Island. There are over 1,600 households in Hampstead and new construction has that increasing at a relatively quick pace.
