Acorn Forest is a residential neighborhood located off Gum Branch Road next to the Jacksonville Onslow Chamber of Commerce and Jacksonville Christian Academy in Jacksonville, NC. It is located about 8 minutes from Coastal Carolina Community College and 15 minutes from the Marine Corps Air Station New River and the main gate of Camp Lejeune.
Featuring a mix of homes and townhomes, Acorn Forest is a well-established neighborhood. Properties built in the 1970s and 1980s do not have a homeowners' association (HOA); however, the townhomes built in the 2000s do. This is primarily to help with common area maintenance.
Due to the long span of construction in this community, home buyers will find both traditional and open floor plans with a variety of finishes and exteriors, including some townhomes with garages. While many of the homes may be older, that doesn't mean they're lacking in features. Many have been updated throughout the years.
