Brittany Woods is an established community located in the northern part of Wilmington, North Carolina. It mainly consists of two-story traditional Colonial or Cape Cod style homes with two-car garages, but there are some newer, one-story homes in the community with open floor plans. Many of the homes were built in the 1990s and fall between 2000 to 3600 square feet. While many of the homes share a similar style, each has been customized and has a personality of its own.
The lots in Brittany Woods have established trees and run about half an acre. About half of the homes have fenced-in back yards, but the placement of the homes and the mature trees provide a great deal of privacy. Many of the homes also have swimming pools.
Located off Murrayville Road, Brittany Woods is practically right around the corner from Murrayville Elementary School. It's also a short drive to both Olsen Park and Smith Creek Park. Olsen Park has an inclusive playground and excellent sports fields, and Smith Creek Park has a playground and beautiful walking trail that surrounds a small lake.
Wilmington features some terrific schools. School districting is determined by New Hanover County School Board of Education. Currently, Brittany Woods is districted to Murrayville Elementary, Trask Middle, and Laney High School. However, districting does change from time to time, so we encourage our clients to double-check before buying. The county provides this handy tool, which allows residents to see where an address is districted. Brittany Woods is convenient to the dining and grocery options off N. College Road, as well as the Ogden and Porters Neck area. It's about a 20 minute drive to Wrightsville Beach.
