Schloss

Schloss is a single-family home community located on the south end of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. Homes in Schloss are typically built on pilings and stretch 2 to 4 stories tall. Owners often have multi-level balconies and decks to maximize views of the Atlantic Ocean and Banks Channel. All of the homes are custom constructions, so there are a variety of floor plans ranging from about 2,000 to 3,000 square feet. The building years are as varied as the homes themselves, spanning from the 1970s to recent constructions in the past few years. Many of the properties are oceanfront or sound front offering gorgeous views but also private beach accesses and docks.

But even Schloss properties without private docks or beach accesses are still steps away from Banks Channel or the Atlantic Ocean. Public accesses to each are located up and down the island. Additionally, there is much more to explore apart from the waters. Wrightsville Beach features many local restaurants and shops, providing everything from fresh seafood to surfing apparel. Some businesses are newer to the area while some have been around for years such as Trolly Stop (est. 1976) and Robert's Grocery (est. 1919).

The city of Wilmington sits on the other side of the Wrightsville Beach Bridge and has an equally long list of attractions, shops, and restaurants. Several sports teams call Wilmington home like the Sea Dawgs basketball team, Hammerheads soccer team, and any of the teams at UNC Wilmington. Additionally, Wilmington has been around for many years, meaning it has amassed plenty of local businesses from which to choose. The city also features a plethora of chains, which are few and far between at Wrightsville Beach. Because of the larger selection, most Schloss residents will make the short trip over the bridge to do their shopping when necessary.
