Shetland Farms

Shetland Farms is an established community located on Pony Farm Road in Jacksonville, NC. It has just under 60 homes, all located on half-acre to 2 acre lots. They were built in the early 2000s and include a variety of styles – from 1-story ranches to 2-story farmhouses. They range from 1,800 – 2,700 sq.ft. with 3-4 bedrooms and 2-4 bathrooms. Most of the homes have 2-car garages, but there are a few that have none.

This is a diverse community, but there are some interior features that are commonly found in the homes, including: 9ft+ ceilings, vaulted ceilings, fireplaces, chair rail molding, arched doorways, wood flooring, tile flooring, and French doors. Common xterior features include vinyl siding, decks, and fenced back yards. Many homes also have above-ground pools. A segment of the properties back up to non-buildable land, which works out well for buyers looking for added privacy.

There is no homeowners’ association in Shetland Farms. The roads are public, but all three streets in Shetland Farms either wrap around or end in a cul-de-sac. This has kept traffic to a minimum.

Shetland Farms is a convenient 20 minute drive from Marine Corps Air Station New River, as well as a little over 20 minutes from the main gate of Camp Lejeune. It’s 6 minutes from shopping and dining, 3 minutes from Meadow View Elementary School, and 10 minutes from South View Middle School and High School.
